The days of hiding behind a keyboard have ended. I gave serious thought to just turning off the chat room, but instead have decided to remove the unverifiable members.

From now on, all new site members will have to get approval from the site administrator. A domain search, e-mail verification, and other data will be used to determine if the registered user is legitimate.

For example: DON VITO CORLEONE tried to get logged on listing his real name as Don Johnson from Washington, DC. Yet his internet address indicated that he was from near Biloxi, Mississippi. HIS MEMBERSHIP WAS NOT APPROVED by the administrator.

I realize that a lot of people like to joke and kid around using their login names, and that is not a problem, so long as the site administrator can determine who they are.

For example: I know who MR. BOO BOO is, and so do a lot of local racers. FRANK95Z and FASTFORD are known to just about everybody. I don't have a problem with someone using PROFESSOR as a login name, so long as we can verify just who the PROFESSOR really is.

So, if you want to have fun on the chat room, you can still use a login name that is not your real name. Only thing is, is that your profile will verified before you can post. Older members will be verified as they make a new posting. If verification is not obtainable, they will be removed, along with their postings, and will be required to re-apply with a verifiable profile.

I think it is a good idea Pat that user I D needs to be verified. I think it is O K to have a login in name some are really original BUT I feel if you can't sign your real name to your post you should not be allowed to make a post.

I like this. I don't like the trash talking. It's very inappropiate and uncalled for.

I would like to offer a challenge to anyone that reads this.Post a reply to this post with your log in I D & sign your name with it. Now is the time to clean this up remember any one with internet access across the nation can read what you post we do not need anymore bad raps remember the negative news coverage for the hurricane . Once again I will say that it should be mandatory to sign your name with any post.

Great place to work - great place to race, make friends, go home happy. No need to be any other way on the internet. Look forward to seeing all of you at our next race.

This new formate doesn't mean that we have to always agree what what's going on. I believe that managment likes to hear both positive and negative comments. This new formate just means that whoever is commenting will be known to Pat and company. Big Grin Frank95z aka Frank Benoit

Frank I agree that we will all have different opinions on any thing that goes on. I also agree that track management should hear all comments good & bad that is what makes it better. But when some one has a comment to make at the track they do not hide behind their trailer to say it they say it in the open where anyone can hear & if they can do that they can sign their name to any post in this chat room

To all I agree, a chat forum is a great place to ask questions, get advice and have a great discussion about a particular topic. I don't have a problem signing my name to my posts, just edit your profile and add your name to your signature!
