As the books opened for racers in 2008, an E-Z chassis racer spurned all comers and grabbed the first 2 races @ State Capitol Raceway. Rose Ezell began '08 by winning 14 total rounds at the SCR Super Chevy Show. During Saturday's $1200 bonus race, Ezell cruised to the victory round to meet fellow E-Z chassis racer, Brian Schexnayder, who also utilized some stout runs in his '06 Ezell R.E.D. to advance to the finals.Ezell went dead on with an 8.033 in a tough bout to snatch the all E-Z car finish.

On Sunday, as the new ultra-smooth surface began to come in, the "Temptress from Ventress" started to string together the rounds, hinting at a "2 in a row" finish. Ezell used stellar starting line reactions to mow down the hitters, sending a sea of spectators into ecstasy with each winning round. Ezell laid down a .006 M.O.V. win against her 1/4 final opponent to set up a rematch of Saturday's final round against Schexnayder who scooped up a dozen rounds of his own at the event. Schexnayder fouled the opportunity with a .001 red and Ezell prepared for her 2nd round appearance against paint job ace Keith Gregoire. Both competitors posted .01 reactions with Ezell making it to the stripe first, 8.082 on a 8.07 dial. "It was so much fun racing in front of all those fans." Ezell said. "But I couldn't have done it without my crew. Brit, Johnnny (Ezell) and Shawn's (Bello) support motivated me every round."
