In Super Pro, No Electronics and Street classes the potential wait and see bye will be awarded by reaction time from the previous round. Before elimination start a wait and see bye will be pulled randomly in the tower for round 1 and announced over the PA system when the class is called to the lanes. In each round there after, until the race is laddered the potential bye will be awarded to the car with the best reaction time of the previous round as long as that car has not had a bye. The tie breaker if needed will be closest to dial. In each round the potential bye will announced over the PA when that round is called to the lanes. When the round of 8 cars or less is reached, the cars will be laddered by Reaction times form the previous round. Cars will be paired best to worst. If there is a bye it will go to the car with Best Reaction time as long as said car has not received a bye previously. No car will receive more then one bye in eliminations, except in the in the case of competition bye. Once cars are paired, lane choice will go to the driver with the best reaction time, in all other rounds if needed lane choice will be determined by a coin flip. All cars are eligible for the potential bye unless said car had received it earlier.
Staging Lanes
In time trials and elimination cars will be called to there assigned lanes Street 1&2, No Electronics 3&4 and Super Pro 5&6. In elimination all cars winners and buy backs will be called to there assigned lanes. Buy backs will no longer run buy backs. 1st round buy backs go directly to round 2 and 2nd round go directly to round 3. Once you have committed to a lane you must stay in that lane no lane switching. When all the pairs have been run and the remainders of the cars are all in 1 lane, lane choice will be determined by a coin flip.
Paul thank you for the response & I also think this is a very good workable solution to the problems we were having.I would also say to all the racers lets make this work as I said before working together we can make it better.Pauls response to our concenrs is proof of that.

Thanks Paul for the quick response to our problems and to everyone else that put their two cents in, this can only make for better races and now we will all be on the same page. NO PROBLEM RACEWAY
One Question. With the rules set this way your saying that a buyback car has the potential to receive a wait and see bye run the next round? This seems strange. The bye should go to the best WINNING reaction time.
Mike I do not know what Paul will rule on this but my feelings are when I pay at the gate I have a shot at the wait & see bye in the first round & when I buy back I am paying to go to the next round & since I am paying i should have a shot at that round

Richard, here is a case in point. You and your opponent both cut .003 lights. Your win light comes on and your opponent breaks out but runs closer to his dial. He has to buy back and recieves the wait and see Bye. Is that fair?
