i recently read a story about a racer from cali named Ronnie Marcum who died when he stalled his dragster in the pits w/out a jack or jackstands and his throttle hung wide open. The car took off on him and he ended up going into the side of someones trailer at close to 100 mph. On the way to the trailer he supposedly had to manuever the car around the staging lanes which were full of jr. cars at the time. I have been in the pits and staging lanes at npr and seen more than a few people matting their throttles w/no jacks or jackstands anywhere in sight. People please be safe. This guy was only 53 yrs old and by all accounts on the internet one hell of a good guy and this could have been avoided.
