Hi Ya'll

I took ~2 hours of video last weekend. Tonight I'll be showing it to someone who couldn't make it but asked that we shoot video for him. I don't know much about drag racing and he knows even less. Speed and racing and a seat in the bleaches to watch is us :-)

Anyway .....

Can someone explain, or point me to a website that explains, how the dial-in times work? I understand it to be that a driver says "I'll do the 1/4 in X time" and that's their dialed in time. Then whoever gets closest to that time without going below it wins, or if both go under it it's who goes under it the least wins. Correct?

If both cars run (say) 0.05 over their time - who wins? Fastest speed?

Thanks in advance
Doug

Doug,
Das a pretty good understanding you got, yeah. If da racers both go .050 over den the one who gits there first wins (By reacting to the start signal[reaction time]the quickest) Its usually is a combination of reaction and how far over dat they run commonly called a "package" dat wins. Kinda like my nickname "Da best Package"
tanks,
Roland
